Nervous System
What system do you thing is the system that controls how you walk and you talk? It is the Nervous System! Nervous system controls most of the body functions. Without the Nervous System, people cannot move and it is hilarious to think that a person cannot move. You cannot walk, wash your face or play with your friends. So be thankful that you have a Nervous system, you really cannot live without it.
Hydrocephalus is a disease that is occurred when the passage way of the brain is blocked by the cerebrospinal fluid. Each child with this condition should be well take care of.
Nervous system receives, interprets and responds to the stimulation in our body. It is composed of brain, spinal cord, sensory organs and the nerves. Nervous system has control parts which are the brain, spinal cord and the nerves and they also have sensory organs. The brain has different parts that have different functions, for example the midbrain controls the body movements. The spinal cord protects the nerves that deliver messages to the lower part of the body. While sensory organs has three main senses; sight, smell and senses of the skin or as all are familiar with, the sense of touch.
Meningitis are caused mostly by bacteria or viruses. Everyone can have meningitis furthermore people with medical conditions are most affected by this.
Nervous system connects with the Muscular System and the Skeletal System. It is related to the muscles because the nerve sends messages from it. For example, in a reflex, the skin sensed heat, so the impulses are carried to the motor neuron that sends the message to the muscles. The muscles then reacts to the impulses and move away from the heat. For the Skeletal System, it provides protection for the nerves that connects to the brain. The spinal cord, which is part of the Skeletal system, is located at the back of our body, it protects the nerve and gives a passage way so that the neurons can reach to the brain.
Interesting facts
1.) There are more nerve cells in the human brain than there are stars in the Milky Way.
2.) If we line up all the neurons in our body, it would be around 600 miles long
3.)A newborn baby loses about half of their nerve cells before they are born.
4.) As we grow older, the brain loses almost one gram of nerve cells per year.
5.) The nervous system can transmit signals at speeds of 100 meters per second.
6.) The left side of the human brain controls the right side of the body and the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body.
7.) The total surface are of a human brain is about 25,000 square cm.
8.)A newborn baby's brain grows almost 3 times during the course of its first year.
9.)Potassium and sodium ions are vital to the proper functioning of the Nervous System.
10.)An average adult female brain is about 1275 grams.

The author discusses about an illness called NPH. Some determine the symptoms of NPH as other diseases such as Alzheimer disease or the Parkinson disease. This disease is misunderstood by other people because it also has symptoms that the other diseases show. Often, people with NPH will have wrong diagnosis and this will result in the dependency of the patient on other people. NPH is caused by excess of CSF or the cerebrospinal fluid in the brain. The fluid will cause the ventricles to enlarge. People with this disease tend to forget easily, have difficulty in paying in attention and other symptoms. When the patient with the disease is not diagnose right away, NPH will worsen as the time goes by. The earlier the patient is diagnosed, the results will be better, they will have fast recovery from the disease. First diagnosis is physical examination by a physician and brain imaging using technological devices such as the computed tomography. Shunt can also be used to excel the speed of recovery. Shunt removes the excess fluid, even though the fluid comes back, it helps to speed up the recovery of the patient. NPH is often misrecognized by other people and people should diagnose to a professional

Prayer
Dear Father,
Thank you for our Nervous System. Lord, You designed our complicates and amazing nervous system and we love it. Even we don't really know entirely how our system works, thank you Lord that other people who are blessed with great knowledge uses their nervous system for the poor people. Lord, please guide the people who lack in knowledge. I hope that the people who are gifted with high knowledge use their brain for the greater good, and not to use it for bad purposes. I hope that those people Lord will not only help other people but also remember You, who made the Nervous System that they are using and not to boast to other people about their knowledge.
